Last Updated: July 19, 2026
Overview
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) govern the restoration and grading services provided by The Card Doc LLC doing business as “The Card Doc” for collectible cards and related items submitted for restoration, PSA prep, grading verification, and related services (the “Services”).
PRIOR TO SUBMITTING ANY CARDS OR ITEMS TO THE CARD DOC LLC, YOU MUST READ AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS. By submitting an order and paying for our Services, you affirmatively agree to these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not submit any items to The Card Doc.
1. Eligibility and Submission
To use The Card Doc LLC Services, you must (a) complete the online submission process, (b) provide accurate information regarding your cards, and (c) select your desired service tier (Regular, Expedited, Premium, or Ultra Premium) and shipping method.
Each person may only have one account. Duplicate accounts or attempts to circumvent account restrictions will result in cancellation of services. The Card Doc reserves the right to refuse services to any person or reject any submission at its sole discretion.
Customers must provide an accurate declared value for each submitted item. The Card Doc reserves the right to refuse any submission or require additional documentation for items exceeding our maximum accepted declared value or that we determine present an unreasonable risk.
2. Service Tiers and Turnaround Times
The Card Doc offers four service tiers with different turnaround times and pricing:
- Regular: $75 per card, 12-15 business days, includes grader notes
- Expedited: $89.99 per card, 7-10 business days, includes grader notes
- Premium: $99.99 per card, 5-7 business days, includes grader notes
- Ultra Premium: $150 per card, 3-5 business days, includes grader notes
IMPORTANT: All turnaround times are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed. Turnaround times may be affected by submission volume, capacity, payment issues, shipping delays, or any other circumstance beyond our control. We make no warranty, representation, or guarantee regarding completion within any stated timeframe. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CARD DOC SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY DELAY IN PROVIDING SERVICES OR FAILURE TO COMPLETE SERVICES WITHIN ANY ESTIMATED TIMEFRAME.
3. Shipping and Loss in Transit
YOU ASSUME ALL RISK OF LOSS, DAMAGE, THEFT, OR DESTRUCTION DURING SHIPMENT TO AND FROM THE CARD DOC.
You are responsible for selecting your own shipping method and carrier. You must pack your items in accordance with strict shipping requirements. The Card Doc is not responsible for:
- Any damage occurring during transit to The Card Doc
- Any loss, theft, or destruction during shipment
- Any delay in delivery
- Damage caused by improper packing or packaging
- Damage to any protective materials or containers
- Any carrier-related issues or carrier negligence
The carrier you select does not represent The Card Doc and is not our agent. The Card Doc assumes no responsibility or liability for any shipment until the item has been physically received, unpacked, and confirmed in our system. The completion of delivery by a carrier does not create any obligation for The Card Doc, and you remain at risk until we confirm receipt.
For return shipments, you may obtain your own insurance, arrange your own return shipping, or select insured return shipping (additional fees apply). If you do not select return insurance, The Card Doc is not responsible for loss or damage during return shipment.
Customers are responsible for selecting any desired shipping insurance. The Card Doc does not insure customer property unless expressly stated in writing. Any insurance obtained through The Card Doc applies only to the shipment selected and does not constitute insurance while items are in our possession.
4. Damage, Alteration, and Condition Changes
THE CARD DOC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR CARDS WHILE IN OUR POSSESSION OR CONTROL.
While The Card Doc will exercise reasonable care in handling your items, we make no warranty or guarantee regarding the condition of your cards before, during, or after the restoration process. Restoration involves subjective judgments and professional opinions. Results may vary, and your cards may be altered, damaged, or changed in any way.
You expressly assume all risk that your cards may:
- Become damaged, cracked, or broken during restoration
- Experience changes in color, finish, or appearance
- Be altered in any way by our restoration process
- Receive a lower grade than expected after restoration
- Be returned in different condition than submitted
- Suffer unpredictable or irreversible changes
If your card is damaged or altered in any way during restoration, The Card Doc's liability is limited solely to the service fee you paid, not the card's value. You may not make claims for the card's fair market value, estimated value, or any other damages.
5. Limited Liability and Disclaimer of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE CARD DOC SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, ALTERATION, OR CHANGE TO YOUR CARD OR ANY ITEM SUBMITTED FOR SERVICES, WHETHER CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.
Your sole and exclusive remedy for any claim is limited to a refund of the service fee paid. THE CARD DOC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Damage to cards during restoration or handling
- Loss or theft of cards while in our possession
- Alteration of cards during the restoration process
- Any consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages
- Loss of the card's fair market value or estimated value
- Loss of sentimental or intrinsic value
- Loss of profits or business interruption
- Any damage to items during return shipment
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE SERVICE FEE PAID BY YOU FOR THAT SPECIFIC ITEM, REGARDLESS OF THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE CARD OR THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE.
6. Grading and Authenticity Services
The Card Doc may provide restoration, inspection, grading preparation, grading consultation, and related services. These services involve subjective professional judgment and are intended solely as opinions and restoration services. The Card Doc does not guarantee that any grading company will assign any particular grade, authenticate an item, or agree with our opinions.
We make no warranty or guarantee regarding:
- The accuracy of any grade or assessment provided
- The authenticity of any item
- The condition of any item after assessment
- Any grader notes or documentation provided
If you disagree with any assessment provided by The Card Doc, your recourse is limited to resubmission of the item for re-evaluation at full service rate. You will be charged the full service fee regardless of outcome.
7. Doctored, Altered, or Inauthentic Items
You represent and warrant that, to the best of your knowledge, each submitted item is genuine and that all information you provide regarding the item's ownership, authenticity, condition, and any known prior restoration, alteration, trimming, recoloring, cleaning, re-backing, or similar work is accurate and complete.
The Card Doc reserves the right to decline any submission if we reasonably believe an item is counterfeit, stolen, unlawfully possessed, materially misrepresented, or otherwise unsuitable for our Services.
Any fees incurred for inspection or evaluation prior to refusal of service remain non-refundable.
8. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at the time of order submission. All fees are non-refundable and non-cancellable except as specifically stated in these Terms. All pricing is final regardless of outcome.
Cancellations are only permitted before processing begins. If you request cancellation, you will be charged a non-refundable processing and handling fee for return of your items.
If payment is rescinded or charged back after items have been processed and returned, The Card Doc reserves the right to refuse future services, recover any unpaid amounts, pursue collection efforts, and exercise any other rights or remedies available.
9. Discount Codes and Affiliate Codes
Any discount codes or affiliate codes are applied at checkout. Discounts are calculated on the service fee only and do not apply to shipping or other additional fees. The Card Doc reserves the right to modify, revoke, or cancel any discount codes at any time.
10. Inspection and Claims
You must inspect your returned items promptly upon delivery.
Any claim involving damage, missing items, or service errors must be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days after confirmed delivery.
Failure to report a claim within this period may affect our ability to investigate the matter.
The Card Doc will review all timely submitted claims in good faith and communicate its findings to the customer.
11. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CARD DOC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
This includes but is not limited to: loss of data, loss of money, loss of goodwill or reputation, costs of delay, lost profits, business interruption, emotional distress, or any intrinsic or sentimental value. This limitation applies regardless of cause, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
Your maximum liability against The Card Doc is limited to the service fee paid for the specific item in question. You acknowledge this is a reasonable allocation of risk and agree it is the sole and exclusive remedy for any claim.
12. Your Information and Authorization
By submitting items, you represent and warrant that:
- All information provided is current, truthful, and accurate
- You own or have authority to submit each item
- Each item is free and clear of liens or encumbrances
- Each item has not been doctored, altered, or counterfeited

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Card Doc, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Your submission of inauthentic, doctored, or altered items
- Your negligence or willful misconduct
- Any claim by a third party regarding items you submitted
14. Modifications to Terms

The version of the Terms in effect on the date an order is submitted shall govern that order.
Updated Terms apply only to future orders submitted after the revised Terms become effective.
